Pricing Notes: Prints on Paper
Paper prices are for gloss, luster, matte, Fuji Pearl, or Kodak Metallic paper. I most often use Kodak Metallic paper which provides vibrant colors and excellent sharpness.
I tend to capture images with a little extra room in the composition and then crop the image in post processing based on what I want to show artistically. Due to this and the aspect ratio of my camera sensor, my images usually do not equate to a standard aspect ratio for printing.
However, I do try to print images so that they can be used with the standard premade frames that Aaron Brothers and similar stores sell.
I print an image with a black (or color) border that acts as a visual mat and is part of the print itself. This provides the flexibility I need between image size and frame size.
The Mounted Price is for a print mounted on foamcore board, but unframed. I sell images mounted which keeps the print from wrinkling over time. There are a number of reasons why it is better to have the mounting done by the print lab, so I do not sell unmounted prints. A Mounted Print can be framed as-is with spacers to keep the print from sticking to the glass or matting can also be used. With the black printed border, matting can be cut larger than the image to keep all of the image and/or title/signature from being covered, this gives the appearance of a double mat.
The sizes listed above are ones at which I most often print. An image prepared for a 12x16 frame is my current minimum size. Other sizes are available on request, but know that I have to take into account image aspect ratio, lab offered printing sizes, and available frame sizes when determining the sizes at which an image can be printed. Custom framing will likely be necessary for custom sizes. I can recommend a number of good framing stores in the area.

Pricing Notes: Prints on Metal
Metal prints are printed on sheets of aluminum and are known for their amazing color vibrancy and luminescence. Images on metal are printed to the edge of the sheet and are not generally framed. The aluminum and coatings used are very durable and can be cleaned with water and a microfiber cloth. Different forms of hangers can be attached to the aluminum for wall display. Check out Bay Photo for more on metal prints.
Canvas and other printing materials can be made available by request.

Janelle also often donates her time to teach classes, workshops, and lead photowalks for local camera clubs like the Stockton Camera Club, Manteca Camera Club, and The Photo Collective. These classes are usually very low cost or free for paid members of these clubs. Local clubs are a great photography resource; you should check them out!
